Where appropriate and at the request of the client, Skarp teams up with Yolanda van Setten.
Yolanda is a legal consultant with a practical approach and over 25 years of experience. She started her own practice fuelled by the desire to assist companies and (semi-)governmental organisations in the prevention and detection of (digital) crime. Her extensive legal background includes a master’s degree in Dutch Law, LLB in South African law, and a specialization training in IT Law at the Grotius Academy. She has numerous certificates in the field of cybersecurity, AI and cybercrime.
As a legal consultant, she works for different clients on different subjects, ranging from cybersecurity advice for small businesses to providing legal expertise for companies subjected to administrative law enforcement.
With over 15 years of working experience in local and central government, more than 11 years of experience as a public prosecutor combined with commercial experience as Director Forensic within Deloitte, she is a strong consultant for government as well as businesses. You can expect independent and expert advice from her. Her approach is hands on, always looking for possibilities instead of limitations.
Yolanda is eager to share knowledge and is connected to multiple institutions as a guest lecturer, e.g. the Academy of European Law (ERA) and the Academy for Legal Practice (Academie voor de Rechtspraktijk). In her spare time, she acts as a deputy judge in the Court of Appeal in Den Bosch.
